The success of your website depends on the amount of traffic you are able to generate. The more targeted the traffic, the better your website will convert visitors into buyers. Before working on ways to increase your conversion, you must first start the flow of traffic. Below are a few tips to help you increase the traffic to your website.
Increase website traffic by marketing through blogs
target="_blank">increasing website traffic is a recurring problem that online publishers face. Webmasters employ several ingenious ways to achieve that objective. Blogs are one such method of improving web traffic. Posting messages to blogs automatically notify several related websites through a ping list. This can help in increasing web traffic. Hence regular posting, preferably every day to blogs should be done.
Increase website traffic through article syndication
Another powerful way of target="_blank">increasing web traffic is to write informative articles enriched with keywords and submit them to article directories, also called as article syndication. Certain websites do the job of article submission to hundreds of article directories for a nominal fee. The articles should be unique and could be done through professional writers at least once a week. They should be posted on the site first and after a week or so when the search engines have indexed them they could be submitted to article directories.
Increase website traffic through social bookmarking
Websites like OnlyWire.com do the job of submitting articles to about 15 other social bookmarking sites. If one article is submitted daily to 15 such sites there could be 15,000 back links generated to a website in a year through this method. Thus social bookmarking can be a potential tool for increasing web traffic.
More ways to increase website traffic
Viral marketing, email marketing, posting to forums and pay per click are other methods of increasing web traffic. Pay per click services is offered by some web sites where for a few cents one could generate a potential customer lead. Other sites like Yahoo Answers encourage visitors to post questions on various topics. Those posting answers to them are also permitted to include their URLs in the signature. Thus the readers who go through the answers are likely to click on the URL and target="_blank">generate traffic to the website.
Tracking and Statistics
The quality of sites can be improved and made more customer oriented by tracking the visitors. This can be done with tracking tools of the website in its cpanel and Google analytics. All these tools give important information about visitors’ activities like which are the most popular articles, what links were clicked by them and how long they stayed at the site etc. The information can be used to alter the appearance, the content, increase the number of posts to blogs and such other things that can make the site more useful to visitors inducing them stay longer and make them revisit the site often.
By posting to a blog everyday or submitting an article daily to article directories or social bookmarking sites, one can easily target="_blank">boost the traffic to a website and hence their online business.
